The Meath Epilepsy Charity is a vibrant, life-affirming community where people with complex epilepsy and associated disabilities are empowered to live rich, meaningful lives. Nestled in the heart of Godalming, Surrey, our historic estate is home to a dynamic blend of residential care, supported living, and day services, all underpinned by a deep commitment to person-centred support.

Our approach is rooted in the belief that every individual deserves the opportunity to thrive. That’s why we go beyond clinical care to embrace the whole person: their passions, potential, and personal goals. Whether it’s through creative arts, sensory therapies, vocational training, or simply sharing experiences, we create spaces where individuals feel seen, heard, and valued. We support adults with complex epilepsy and associated conditions including learning disabilities, autism, and physical health needs. Our services are tailored to each person’s abilities and aspirations, with a strong emphasis on independence, choice, and community.

Our beautiful grounds and purpose-built facilities include a Skills Centre, sensory rooms, therapy spaces - all designed to foster wellbeing, creativity, and connection. We work closely with families, clinicians, to ensure that our care is not only safe and effective, but also joyful and empowering. At The Meath, our values are lived every day.

At The Meath Epilepsy Charity, we believe that people with complex epilepsy deserve more than just care- they deserve lives filled with purpose, joy, and connection. That’s why we’re looking for a rare kind of nurse: someone who brings clinical expertise and emotional intelligence in equal measure. Someone who can lead with confidence, listen with compassion, and shape a culture where wellbeing is woven into every moment.

This is not your average nursing role. As our Epilepsy Nurse & Wellbeing Specialist, you’ll be the clinical lead for epilepsy across our services - overseeing seizure management, medication reviews, and risk assessments - while also driving forward a bold, person-centred approach to holistic wellbeing. You’ll work closely with residents, families, and staff to ensure that care is not only safe and effective, but also empowering, creative, and deeply human.

You’ll be a visible, trusted presence across our residential home and Skills Centre - supporting people through health challenges, co-designing sensory programmes, and helping individuals build confidence and independence. You’ll also play a key role in training, mentoring, and shaping the future of care at The Meath.

We’re looking for a registered nurse with at least four years’ post-qualification experience -ideally in epilepsy, learning disabilities, or neuro settings - who’s ready to lead, inspire, and make a lasting difference. You’ll need strong clinical skills, a collaborative mindset, and a genuine passion for helping people live full, meaningful lives.

In return, you’ll join a warm, values-led team in a stunning setting, with enhanced benefits, a strong focus on staff wellbeing, and the chance to shape something truly special.

If you’re ready to lead with heart and purpose, we’d love to hear from you.

We warmly encourage early applications and are happy to arrange informal conversations ahead of applying - just get in touch with Rachel Salvia (rachel.salvia@gatenbysanderson.com) or Liz Dean (liz.dean@gatenbysanderson.com)
