Ade Odunlade, Chief Operating Officer, South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, (previously Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust), talks about his move from a computer driven and data background to a career in mental health as a clinician, before returning to corporate management.

Ade’s journey, from a data-driven tech background to clinical mental health, and back into corporate leadership is a powerful example of adaptability, purpose, and resilience. As one of the few Black COOs in the NHS, Ade speaks candidly about the experience of “standing out” and the importance of creating environments where diverse talent not only has a louder voice, but truly belongs.
